Rising Women is a Mother Daughter Weekend camp designed to support you and your daughter as she steps into her early teenagehood. Our aim is to offer time away for you both to connect and reflect on the many changes already happening or on the horizon, along with supporting you both to better understand the challenges she faces.
It can be a particularly challenging time for girls when the need to fit in far outweighs everything else and their friendships take priority as they seek more independence.
Building a strong bond and facilitating good communication with your daughter now is more important than ever and will set you both up to better navigate this journey, and to celebrate and acknowledge this stage of her life as she transitions to young adulthood.
Your girls will get to gently explore issues like friendship and its dramas, the lure of social media, healthy body image, and simplifying boundaries & understanding consent. Most importantly they will be seen and honoured for who they are right now.
Mums will get time to explore the changing dynamics of your relationship with your daughter, how to set and keep boundaries that are right for you, healthy communication, parenting strategies and resources to support you on this journey.
